Welcome to Heather’s Fairy Tale Bakery!

Well, once again I am having to re-invent myself!  The bakery is going to be on hiatus for a bit.  As some of you know I went to Las Vegas in October and competed in America’s Best Raisin Bread Contest.  I learned so much and met some great people in the baking industry.  It also whetted my appetite to learn more about the science and technology behind baking especially gluten free, which is the arena that I’m currently prancing around in.  So that being said I’m pursuing further education at the American Institute of Baking in Kansas so I can become a better baker!

I know this is going to be frustrating for those of you who have gotten used to eating gluten free that doesn’t taste like gluten free and I am truly sorry for that.  Sometimes life just throws us a curve we’re not expecting…right now I seem to be curving!  So stay tuned for further adventures…and in the meantime if you want to see what else I’ve been up to, google “The Mommy Cup” (there are some nice reviews on Amazon) that I recently published.  Believe it or not, it’s not about baking!
